I have to gush about one of my favorite spots in South Milwaukee- Avenue Coffeehouse! As the months pass, this coffeehouse invents and modifies new and old favorites to suit the tastebuds of their fans. They've released specialty smoothies, floral lattes, and the best dang hazelnut latte I've ever had in my fricken life.
Avenue Coffeehouse also features local artists- while you wait for your drink you can sift through treasures created by people in the Milwaukee area. They also hold gallery nights and open mics, where you can shop for handmade goods and listen to local musicians and comedians.
If you haven't been to Avenue Coffeehouse yet, take some time out of your day to visit. The owners are genuinely lovely people, the bakery and drinks are deliciously created with love, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
